As part of its 900th anniversary, from the 14th to 19th of September, join Leeds Castle in Kent for a ‘floral party’ celebration with the spectacular Festival of Flowers, for which Wealden Times is Media Partner.

Each year the Festival of Flowers grows greater and more impressive, with internationally acclaimed floral designers adorning the castle rooms with installations of beautiful blooms. Leeds Castle is thrilled to continue to support florists of the future amongst a host of new and returning designers.

The elaborate floral displays include a huge 2.5m floral ‘900’ on the front lawn created by the Castle Florists, a Leeds Castle swan logo delicately and intricately made out of white skeleton leaves, and a tropical fiesta room with a riot of colourful balloons alongside palm trees, with each designer interpreting the theme of a ‘floral party’ in their own unique style.

The Festival of Flowers continues across the grounds with a programme of floral demonstrations and workshops, specialist talks and garden tours. There will also be the opportunity to buy beautiful flowers and garden accessories from a variety of stalls on the Pavilion Lawn.

Visitors to Leeds Castle can also experience the magic of the annual Christmas Market. On the lawn, overlooking the castle, the market will take place from 10am to 5pm every weekend from 23rd November through to the 15th December, with a splendid array of seasonal gifts, toys, festive decorations and specialist food and drink. Enjoy nostalgic fairground rides or take a leisurely trip on the big wheel for a spectacular view of the castle.
