Two Trustee/Directors are sought to join the Board of The Rye Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital Ltd.  This is a Charity, whose Trustees are limited by Guarantee, that owns the freehold of 10 acres of land known as the Memorial Care Centre at the top of Rye Hill.  On the site is the GP Surgery (Rye Medical Centre); the intermediate Care Hospital and Out Patient units; the 55 Unit recently modernised Extra Care Units (providing independent living with care run by Sanctuary Housing Association); The Hub on Rye Hill; and shortly to be developed, a 60 bed Care Home for patients with nursing or dementia care needs (to be developed and run by Greensleeves Care).

Board meetings are held quarterly and members may be invited to join one of three sub committees which also meet quarterly.  Applicants are invited to apply with CV in writing for this voluntary position by Friday 30th October.  Experience in either social or community service, law or the NHS would be helpful but not mandatory.  Interviews will take place during November and the successful applicants will be invited to the AGM in early December followed by a full induction at the commencement of the appointment at the beginning of January 2021.
