Do you have a beauty regime? I have inherited the respect for a good moisturizing routine using natural products wherever possible, in the hope that I will look as good as my mum, however, none of this works without a solid sleep. A Yogi ‘Bedtime’ tea can always help with that.
In the morning I cleanse and then hydrate with Aveda Intensive Hydrating Mask, then I use Ultrasun spf 20 to protect my skin. If required, I’ll pat my face with a little almond oil or even mild Clarins hand cream at some point during the day to keep it protected.
For my body, I love Weleda shower products and I keep a vat of almond oil as a post shower moisturizer. My children get smothered in this too!
Do you have a particular product you couldn’t live without? I love Eve Lom cleanser. This little pot of natural grease accepts all apologies from make-up or environmental bad behaviour, leaving my skin feeling angelically clean for a good night’s sleep. No matter how late a night, I will always reach for this pot before I go to bed.
What’s your ultimate pampering treat? I love visiting the Tor Spa in Ickham, Canterbury. It’s truly a meditative experience. My perfect spa package would be a salt brush exfoliation, followed by a four handed massage and then a deep meditative sleep, bliss! This would be followed by an amazing vegetarian lunch. I meet my sister there at least twice a year.
Who’s your style icon? I admire people who express themselves through their look and I love Nina Simone. She wore clothes that were bold and fearless like her music.
My wardrobe is a mix of very bright things and shades of grey to quieten them down. I am rarely without a colour somewhere on me. If it’s not visible on my clothes, I will most definitely have bright laces on, or be wearing my yellow watch.
