Wellbeing and beauty editor Eminé Rushton, tells us about her own beauty routine

Do you have a beauty regime?

I do a little skin ritual when I wake up and before I go to bed. My routine is all-natural; I stopped using synthetic products around 10 years ago, and my skin responded immediately. What I use, how I apply it, and what I do in between, vary a great deal from day to day, depending on my skin’s needs in that moment, and what it’s ‘telling’ me.

Whatever I’m using I take time to massage and stroke the skin, and breathe in the aromas of the natural products. Sometimes, this moment is the only thing drawing a line between the busy working day, and the more restful evening, so I like to honour it. Oh, and I love my little jade face roller – it’s so cool and deeply soothing – rolling it around my skin in the morning to help with absorption of my products always feels wonderfully invigorating.

Do you have a particular product you couldn’t live without?

I get sent so many products to test, so when I am faithful to something, it’s rather telling. I love the May Lindstrom Pendulum Potion (a cleanser) and the serums by Botane Actives, Romilly Wilde, and TWELVE beauty. I am also very loyal to my hydrating masks and think Josh Rosebrook’s is the best. I love a good face oil – my favourites are from Votary, Herbivore Botanicals, A.S Apothecary or MV Organic Skincare. But if I were allowed only one product forever it would have to be coconut oil – I can cleanse, moisturise and protect my skin with it (and have done on many a remote island escape. Bliss!).
