St Andrew’s Prep has been celebrating a series of outstanding sporting achievements. The 1st XI football team and the girls’ 1st hockey team both advanced to the finals of their IAPS competitions while the school shone at the Sussex Team Table Tennis Finals earning a place in the next round. Adding to these accolades, St Andrew’s Prep was named in The Cricketer Schools Guide 2025. Highlights include the annual aquathlon and the much-revered whole-school steeplechase which challenged pupils with sea swims, coastal runs and demanding courses over the South Downs. A New Era of Co-Education

An exciting change is on the horizon for Cobham Hall Independent School as it prepares to welcome its first ever co-educational cohort of boys across Years 7-10. Nestled within 150 acres of Kent countryside, yet only 30 minutes from the buzz of central London, Cobham Hall is a school with a difference. With the continuous growth and success of its Sixth Form, Cobham Hall is now delighted to welcome applications from both girls and boys, from Years 7 to 13. In 2023, the Sixth Form welcomed George, who proudly become the first boy to graduate from Cobham Hall. Last September marked another pivotal moment as our first boy boarders moved into Stuart House, the newly refurbished wing of the 16th-century manor.
“It has been a pleasure to watch our Sixth Form boys thrive in Cobham’s distinctive family environment,” says Head, Wendy Barrett. “We are thrilled to start welcoming boys into all year groups.”
The non-selective approach fosters a warm and inclusive atmosphere where students feel encouraged to step beyond their comfort zones, cultivate curiosity and creativity, and discover their full potential.

The New Beacon Opens Up For Sporting & Creative Workshops

The boys at The New Beacon enjoy first-class sports facilities and exceptional teaching, and we wanted to share these with local children through Super Sporting Saturday! Nearly 100 boys and girls from Kent primary schools joined us for a fun-filled morning of swimming, handball, lacrosse, hockey, football, rugby, table tennis and dodgeball. It was fantastic to see new friendships formed and interests sparked, with many leaving inspired to pursue a new sport. Building on this success, we’re planning a Cracking Creatives morning next year, offering art and music workshops led by our talented specialist teachers.
