Cheers to these tasty local tipples

Old Dairy Beer
Old Dairy Brewery is an award-winning brewery that uses only the finest English malts and hops to brew their beers in cask, bottles, keg and can. Sitting just moments from Tenterden High Street, they have a long history of brewing brilliant beers from traditional English varieties through to exciting craft options, as well as some seasonal and special flavours. They began in 2010 in a converted dairy (hence the name), and as demand grew moved in 2014 to a larger brewery, now housed in two World War II Nissen huts. Visit The Taproom and Shop in the Old Dairy Brewhouse or sample a beer in the beer garden – the perfect spot to sip this local favourite, with its countryside views, food trucks at weekends, and music on some Sundays. They are open 7 days a week, and if you really want to see what they’re about, Brewery Tours and Tastings are also available to book.

Balfour Wine
Balfour Winery is one of England’s leading wine producers, pioneers for both English traditional method sparkling wines, and a new wave of English still wines. In 2007 Balfour was put on the map when a Rosé, made from their first harvest in 2004 won a gold medal at the International Wine Challenge. For six years this Brut Rosé was the only wine they made and it is still produced in small quantities every year, as a reflection of the vintage, a single vineyard and the signature Balfour style. Over the years, co-founders Richard and Leslie have formed a team of experts who assisted them in creating a state-of-the-art winery and tasting room on Hush Heath Estate, in Staplehurst. In 2018 both the winery and tasting room was greatly expanded and is now one of the best visitor and winemaking facilities in England.

Arcanist Rum
Masters of creating premium, craft rum, Arcanist is all about blurring the line between science and magic, local and exotic. Their Demerara rum originates from Guyana, but is infused with magical spices in a UK distillery. They use only the best botanicals and spices, no synthetic flavours, and every ingredient is sustainably sourced and ethically produced. Their Pineapple Elixir Rum is a premium small-batch rum infused with Costa Rican pineapples with caramel tones and a hint of spice. It’s smooth, fruity and has a perfect mix of sweet and spicy, plus just check out the bottle! It will look brilliant in any drinks cabinet and once used can be kept and repurposed in all sorts of ways. Take a look at the ‘Mixology’ section of their website for a library of tempting cocktail recipes or come taste for yourself at our Midwinter Fair this November.
